Partnering with the DOH and with the assistance of the Rural Health Transformation Project we are excited to help boost our area's rural access to healthcare by increasing the number of available and qualified EMT responders. This award will help recruit, equip, and train local EMT's to strengthen the ability of our rural health system to provide Inter-facility Transfers with qualified and available responders. This award is a reimbursable grant of up to $35,000 over the next 8 months.

Randle Fire & EMS was awarded a 1994 KME structural engine through the FEPP program. This engine replaced a 1976 Mack that had been out of service for almost two years, severely outdated, and not usable for firefighting any longer. While the KME required some minor work, this was an extreme savings to the taxpayers of approximately $40,000 and reduces the age of E14-2 by 16 years buying us time for replacement strategies. Additionally this engine is 4 wheel drive with great ground clearance which will add to our response capabilities. Originally based at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, this engine will continue to serve for years to come.

A big thank you to @drinkdripdrop and @nvfc1 for including us in the 2026 DripDrop Hydration Giveback Campaign! This donation of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix will help keep our firefighters and EMS providers hydrated during training, emergency responses, extreme heat, and long incidents. Staying hydrated helps our crews perform at their best and stay safe on the job.

Randle Fire and EMS obtained bike helmets, safety lights, and stickers to distribute to local residents for their children.

Randle Fire & EMS obtained an 85 inch television and related conferencing AV equipment to update our training room. The equipment was all new surplus and valued at over $5,000 total.

Randle Fire & EMS was awarded a surplus LMTV 4X4 for future conversion into a type 4 apparatus. The vehicle is in working order obtained from JBLM and valued in excess of $50,000. This critical resource was obtained at no cost.

Randle Fire & EMS obtained 11 sets of donated bunker gear from CPFR. All of the gear had remaining service life and saved the district over $50,000 in replacement costs.

Randle Fire & EMS was awarded a match grant for the purchase of $8,837 in protective firefighting equipment and gear.

Randle Fire & EMS purchased wildland firefighting equipment including safety glasses, shelters, gloves, chaps, flashlights, and protective clothing at 50% off.

Randle Fire & EMS was awarded a grant to reimburse the costs of replacing 4 portable radios valued at $10,345.
